Garden: Autumn Beauty

Some pretty things happened in my garden and I want to share them with you!

Clouds of anemones.  It's been a great year for the anemones.  These are planted on one side of the narrow side-yard path.

Good thing I took time to hunt for passion flowers!  I spied this one hiding amongst the foliage of the grape.  Passion flowers last only a single day and I'd feared that these (which budded out so late!) wouldn't bloom before being claimed by inclement weather.

Apples on the "Golden Sentinel" pole apple.

Hydrangea "Bombshell" bloom and foliage coloring-up for Fall.

So beautiful, thanks for sharing what's looking good! That Hydrangea is most definitely a bombshell! Wonderful shot of the front border too.

Hi Alison! Thanks!

Cooler temperatures and a little rain and look what happens! I'm SO envious of the Japanese anemones. Emily. Mine are all in hiding and I'm guessing I won't see any flowers this year.

Aw, Kris--I'm sorry that your anemones are no-shows. They are fairly stalwart performers, here--early to make a mound of foliage in the Spring and reliable bloomers in the Fall. But I did notice the orchids in your recent "End of the Month" post and, although I didn't remark on it, I was very envious! :-)

Nice of you to share those shots. They made my day.
